Live music that connects with people

Music has the ability to change how people feel in a moment.

I provide live singing for events where the aim is not just to fill space, but to create atmosphere, connection and presence. Whether performing for a corporate audience, a wedding celebration or a room of residents, the focus is always the same: to meet the moment well and lift the experience for those listening.

With over 40 years of singing experience, and 14 years running a choir, I bring both musical depth and an understanding of how people respond to live performance.

Where I perform

Corporate Events

Live music that helps shift the atmosphere of business events, from formal and structured to relaxed and engaging.

Retirement & Care Home Events

Performances designed to engage residents, encourage participation and bring moments of clarity, joy and connection.

Weddings

Live singing that adds a personal and memorable dimension to your ceremony or celebration.

A lifetime in music

I have been singing for over 40 years, developing a style that draws from both classical training and contemporary performance.

As a baritone vocalist, my repertoire spans a wide range of music, with a particular focus on swing and big band songs—music that is timeless, recognisable and deeply enjoyable for many audiences.

Alongside performance, I have led a choir for the past 14 years. That experience has shaped how I approach music—not simply as something to deliver, but something to share.

At its best, music becomes a shared experience between performer and audience.

More than a performance

What matters most is not just how the music sounds, but how it is received.

I pay close attention to:

  • the mood of the room
  • the energy of the audience
  • the purpose of the event
  • the balance between presence and subtlety

This allows the performance to feel natural within the event, rather than imposed on it.

When people begin to relax, engage, and even join in, that is usually when the music has found its place.

How live music supports different events

For corporate events

Live music can help shift the energy of an event away from routine and into something more engaging.

It allows people to step out of work mode, even briefly, and experience something more relaxed and enjoyable. This often leads to better interaction, a more welcoming atmosphere and a stronger overall impression of the event.

For Weddings

A wedding is made up of moments that stay with people.

Live singing can add something personal and memorable to those moments—whether during the ceremony, drinks reception or celebration. It brings a sense of occasion that recorded music rarely achieves in the same way.

For retirement and care homes

Music has a unique ability to reach people, even in later stages of life.

In care settings, I have seen how familiar songs can unlock memory, lift mood and bring people into the present moment.

Residents who may be withdrawn often become more engaged, sometimes singing along or responding in ways that are meaningful for them and those around them.

These moments are often the most important part of the performance.
