About Peter Saint

A lifetime of singing, shaped around people and connection.

Professional live singing for weddings, corporate events and care settings across Hampshire, the South East and the UK.

A simple aim: to create something meaningful through music

I have been singing for over 40 years.
During that time, what has remained constant is not just the music itself, but the response it creates in people.

Whether performing at a wedding, a corporate event or in a care setting, the aim is always the same – to create an atmosphere where people feel something, connect with the moment, and enjoy the experience together.

Experience shaped over time

My background combines both classical training and contemporary performance, allowing me to work across a wide range of musical styles.

As a baritone vocalist, I perform a broad repertoire that can be adapted to suit different audiences and occasions. This includes:

• swing and big band music
• classic popular songs
• traditional and well-known standards
• contemporary selections where appropriate

While swing and big band form a particular strength – offering a timeless, engaging quality – my approach is always to select music that fits the audience and setting, rather than limiting the performance to one style.

Alongside performing, I have run a choir for the past 14 years. That experience has deepened my understanding of how people engage with music – not just as listeners, but as participants.

How I approach each performance

Every event is different, and I approach each one with that in mind.

Rather than delivering a fixed set, I focus on:

• understanding the setting
• reading the audience
• adapting tone and energy
• selecting music that resonates with those present

In some settings, that means a subtle background presence.

In others, it becomes more engaging and interactive.

The intention is always to support the event, not take it over.

The importance of audience response

One of the most rewarding parts of performing is seeing how people respond.

That might be:

• guests relaxing and settling into an event
• a couple hearing a song that becomes part of their day
• residents in a care home becoming more present and engaged
• people joining in, even quietly

These moments are often simple, but they are what make live music valuable.

Adapting to different audiences

Care homes and retirement settings

Music can reach people in a way that conversation sometimes cannot. Familiar songs—across different eras and styles—can bring recognition, lift mood and create shared moments.

Weddings

Live singing can add something personal and lasting to the day. A flexible repertoire allows music to reflect both the couple’s preferences and the atmosphere they want to create.

Corporate Events

Music helps shape the tone of an event. A varied repertoire allows the performance to remain appropriate, engaging and well-judged for different audiences.
Across all of these, the aim is the same: to create a good experience for others.

Why I do this

I find creating a good time for others through music to be a genuine privilege.

There is something very simple, but important, about bringing people together – even briefly – and seeing them enjoy a shared experience.

That is what continues to motivate me after many years of performing.

Where I perform

I am based in Hampshire and regularly perform across Berkshire, Surrey and the South East.

I am also available to travel throughout the UK for weddings, corporate events and care home bookings.
